Thank you, Maggie, for your courage and perseverance in pursuing what you love to do - write and share with us! I love the positive affirmation theory and believe it's true. I know that I need more positive self-affirmation in my life so thank you for the reminder!

Hi Maggie. I enjoyed reading this post (and you ARE a good writer) because I think we can all be more positive, especially as we are growing older. I, too, need to keep exercising to keep my back stronger. Many mornings I would rather just stay in bed and skip the stretches and weights, but I know I will feel better when I finish a workout. So now I will remember to say "I shall get up and do my exercises so that my back will remain strong." I have another one...Last year before one of my walks I decided to greet everyone I met while walking the lake. It was great....some did not respond, but most did. Now I do it all the time -- I can say I am a friendly person. So those are a couple of mine.
