Hi Maggie,

I liked this post - I know how you feel! I'd gotten to the point that I even felt like I had to make the perfect choice shopping. I've dithered about buying new winter boots for two years because I thought I needed the perfect boots. Guess what? If I buy a pair and theyre not perfect, I'll buy another pair and who cares???

P.S. I did buy a new pair of boots.

Thanks, Sue. I appreciate your comments and am grateful for your interest in my blog. I, too, have always worried about what others think of me, but I feel like I'm making progress in getting over that stressor - might be the wisdom that comes with old age!

Maggie,
I have been telling myself for a long time that perfectionism is highly overrated. It was a real relief when I actually started to feel that, not just say it. I think we try to be perfect not for ourselves, but because we worry about what others will think of us. Realizing this has allowed me to accept myself as I am, and that is a great stress reducer!

Nice blogpost.
